Aston Martin

Aston Martin started in 1908, when Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford dropped a four cylinder side valve engine into a Isotta-Fraschini racing chassis, which had ben designed by Ettore Bugatti. The name Aston Martin came from Martin's name and the name of the race course where they'd competed before, Aston Clinton.

Although the company has changed hands several times, it continues to make cars of distinction. Most well known, thanks to James Bond, is the DB series, but the Vantage, Virage, and Lagonda models are all worth mentioning.
